DESCRIPTION:Discover the REAL impacts of earthquakes and have fun getting ready for the annual ShakeOutBC earthquake drill hosted by the BC Earthquake Alliance!  \nJoin us for a free screening of the action/thriller movie San Andreas\, starring Dwayne Johnson\, featuring live scientific commentary from Alison Bird\, Seismologist at Natural Resources Canada and Director\, BC Earthquake Alliance and Member of ShakeOutBC Planning Committee.  \nDoors open: 6:30PM \nMovie: 7-9PM  \nDuring the movie\, Alison will provide expert scientific commentary\, comparing Hollywood’s inaccurate portrayal of seismic events to realistic scenarios. She’ll also share factual information about earthquake hazards from the recent National Risk Profile. There will be prizes at the end of the movie and valuable information about how you and your household can better prepare for an earthquake!
